EducaSTEM 2030

The initiative is implemented in partnership with UNESCO and technical partners in the states of Bahia, Pernambuco and São Paulo. It aims to contribute to global efforts to address how to prepare students of all ages for life’s challenges taking into account gender disparities, particularly regarding women’s participation in professional and academic careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Furthermore, it is also in line with the 2030 Agenda approved by the United Nations General Assembly in which Education and Gender Equality stand out as driving forces for the achievement of all other SDGs. Another noteworthy aspect of the project is the effort to not only bring youth to the forefront of the debate but also to recognize them as agents of change and enhance their potential as individuals.

EDUCASTEM 2030 exists to challenge social stereotypes and to encourage girls and young women to broaden their range of professional opportunities by having contact with professionals and developed skills to overcome challenges in STEM careers.
